Apple is keeping a lot of iPad Air users on the edge of their seats for the launching of iPad Air 3 that is rumored to become available in March 2017, in spite of initial cancellation speculations.
Game N Guide reported that the new version of the Apple tablet is designed to be more affordable with high-resolution display, updated Bluetooth and Lightning ports inclusions. Moreover, some netizens believe the tablet will have a 9.7-inch screen and will bear a fingerprint scanner.
The same report mentioned that iPad Air 3 is rumored to be power efficient and will have faster processing due to the upgraded A9 chipset inclusion. Although, other reports have suggested that it would be the A10 instead of the A9 chipset – which is powering the newly launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus – will be used.
It is also believed to include a 4 GB random access memory (RAM) with a potential internal storage of 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. Users have yet to see if, indeed, it will have a 12-megapixel camera which is said to be better than that of the iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro.
In terms of color options, iPad Air 3 is expected to come in gold, silver, space grey, and probably rose gold, according to PC Advisor. There is also a huge possibility, according to the report, that the new iPad Air will sport a slimmer and lighter body as rumors suggest that Apple is using an even stronger form of aluminum.
A slenderer tablet could possibly mean a smaller but more powerful battery pack. Currently, the iPad Air 2 is 6.1 millimeters thick. Users can always count on Apple to add significant surprises along the way.
Rumors suggest a Smart Keyboard Cover attached to a Smart Connector will be added on the device. In whatever form Apple intends to upgrade the iPad Air 3, surely, for fans, it will be worth waiting for.
